i am having same remote issues, but then the tv turns on, then off, then on again. at times i have to turn the tv on by hand! is this all remote related?
This could be remote related, check if all buttons are in the their normal position. Sometimes they get stuck due to dirt etc. and remain in pressed mode and that can have such effects. Next check the batteries.
