First you need to check the manual.
The US terrestrial digital system uses a digital system called ATSC.
Australia, New Zealand and the UK use variations of the DVB-T.
See the technical page of your manual and check whether or not it states 'DVB-T' as well as 'ATSC'.
Even if it does that is no gaurentee that it will work in Australia, New Zealand or UK. (You do not state which version of freeview you are interested in.)
There may also be an option within the setiings where you tell it which country you are in. Changing it to your country instead of US/Canada may help if it is able to handle DVB-T.
