As I always ask, do you use TeraCopy?
It's "advanced buffering" is not realy compatible with the NTFS file system used with current versions of Windows.
It only benefit you is you use the FAT16 or FAT32 file system AND your drive is defragmented.
It will degrade your performances under FAT16/32 if the drive is somewhat fragmented OR under NTFS even if the drive is perfectly defragmented.
You should uninstall it.
You should warn your friends and colegues about that.
