it may be partially blocked get the end of the hoover on it and around it to clean or suck any dust away. if it doesnt work then it may need taking apart to be cleaned and putting back together. this is only if its down to a blocked pilot. it may also be the thermcouple is need of replacement. this is the part which catches the end of the flame from the pilot to detect its working.
