win xp?

Hi
I have resurrected an old computer and installed XP.
from an genuine disc I have.
It won't run until I have authenticated it. I can't do this via internet as this computer is not on line. I don't want to phone a representative. I have tried setting the system time back. I have the original code for the disc.
Is there any way of making it run?

You should only need to enter the CD key during install when asked to.
If that don't work, you should look for a little tool called "Remove WAT" that was made specificaly for when the activation refuse to work.
Changing the system time have absolutely nothing to do with the activation process.
