Thanks Hi - Spec . No leaks in sytem, still releasing pressure via PRV?

I have partially emptied a cloakroom radiator to use as an expansion "vessel" . If this proves that the expansion bottle is at fault, how do I get to checking pressures etc and repressurizing. Is the connection accessible without removing the whole boiler from the wall?

Drained pint of water from cloakroom rad, reopened valves but did not bleed air. Lasted 1 day but water is still discharging outside. Tonight 22:00 I drained another 1/2 pint without bleeding. Topped up pressure - will see what happens tomorrow.
( I located the expansion vessel about 10 minutes ago (thanks for your advice) . Tomorrow night I 'll do a pressure test and take it from there.

is the boiler still discharging outside

expanssion vessel sits at the rear or side of boiler looks like a big sealed can on it will be a schraeder valve like on a car tyre if you have a tyre pressure gauge use it to see what it is,looking for about 0.7. then check to see if any water is released from it. if pressure is low you can use a foot pump or bike hand pump. if ok it could be letting water into the heat exchanger.
