how to open steam buggy?

i have tried pressing down and turning the knob, nothing happens. i'm about to rip it off. Can anyone tell me what I can do?

If the chamber has steam in it - had steam in it - the chamber will be pressurised - the screw cap held tightly.

Let the pressure out - then try.
