BLEED RADIATORS?

Can someone please tell me (step by step) how to bleed the radiators in my home? They have been very noisy lately and I'd like to do this as my weekend project.

Thank you Much!

What type of system do you have Meesha? Do you have a combination boiler, or do you have storage tanks ?
You will need a radiator air vent key,and if you have a combi boiler, you will need to repressurise the system with a filling loop.... make sure you have this before you begin.
All you need to do to bleed the radiators is, make sure the circulating pump is not running, so turn the room stat right down or switch of the heating totally. then at the radiator use the key to unscrew the air vent at the top end , if you have double radiators, there may be 2 air screws... keep the air screws loose ( dont remove completely) until you hear no more air hissing out then close the air screw, its handy yo have 2 cloths , one to catch any dirty water that might escape, and a clean one in case you have an accident on the decor / wallpaper etc.
