How to fix my Siren 2GB Mp3 Player headphone plug-in?

How would I fix the plug-in for my headphones? I can only hear music from the left side. I have to move around the cord to try to get it to work but now it's worse. I bought new headphones but it still doesn't work. I'm thinking the plug-in part is loose but I don't know what to do about it.

I had similar problems today with mine except my Siren MP3 headphone jack stops the sound in my left ear. I took mine apart this evening and didn't locate anything loose or broken inside in the vicinity of the headphone jack.

If I press in on the lower part of the jack area in the case it appears to make the sound work properly. I fixed mine with a piece of tin foil.
