Dear Sirs.
How do I change the bit rate setting to a much higher level for line in recording on my Itronics 20 gb MP3 Recorder.

I'm wondering this too. In the manual it says "MP3 recording function is an optional feature", so perhaps the feature is disabled in the firmware?
It's very annoying as one of the main reasons for buying this player is the recording feature.
