My kenmore 80 series washer has been leaving grease on clothes and other items during wash. What could be causing it and how can I fix it?

HI Dan.
I thnk I may have found something. After some more digging, the marks on the clothes might be coming from the dryer. Clothes can get in-between the drum and housing. If it is the washer it might be the transmission which I guess is too involved to repair so getting a new washer is your best bet. I personally don't think anything is too involved...

Hi Dan,
No, I haven't found out anything yet. There really doesn't seem to be anything on the internet at all. So I just keep a lot of Zout and other stain removers at hand and keep washing my clothes. It doesn't happen all the time so I just keep washing out the grease as much as possible.
I will keep looking for an answer. The saga continues...
