i would be careful with active x if a site wants to activate it you are most likely gonna get a virus or spyware or something you dont want on your computer. my advice is to stay away from it and if you dont know how to activate it already good. you are better off not going to those sites anyway. however it can be a useful tool when used for good just make sure you can trust the site beforehand
