I have a VHs tape that has little wrinkles all along the bottom of it and up into the tape at several points. There are lines running across the screen throughout the movie. I heard htat there was a way to get the little wrinkles out of the tapes. Is this true? And what is it
The pinch roller on your machine is worn it is a rubber wheel that sits on the right hand side this will cure the problem once replaced. If you look closely you will see it. It pulls the tape around the VCR it is pushed against the capstan shaft a metal upright pin during playback.

No this is not true the tape is useless, Even if you were able to get the wrinkles out the content would be damaged if it is not already.
Buy a new tape or better still get it on DVD
