The video cassette plays, but does not produce sound?

The video cassette plays, but does not produce sound. Picture quality is fine. The VCR is not the problem as other tapes play in our three machines and have their recorded sound produced.
The tape in question is a Sony T-120. The VCRs are all Panasonic.

The Audio head could of failed or could be dry jointed or a loose connection. It can still record sound but it is the P/B part what is affected. As there is no picture disturbance then the sound O/P will not be muted by the sound mute line on the miicro.
