How do I take out the VCR from tv?

How do i remove the vcr from the tv w/o getting electrocuted? I have a symphonic WF0213C combo tv & when the tape got stuck I got it out and now tv comes on and I get an "Eject T" message & then the tv turns off.

If you forced the tape out of the VCR you likely broke it. Unfortunately on Symphonics (Funai) the VCR is too tightly integrated with the TV to remove.

Same thing happened to me tonight, but I didn't force the tape out and this was the solution:
http://groups.google.com/group/sci.electronics.repair/browse_thread/thread/d8e5eafc65080f7/b8fce4b3f677a23d%23b8fce4b3f677a23d?sa=X&oi=groupsr&start=2&num=3

It worked like a charm and the only tool I needed was a philips head screwdriver.

What's going on is that the cam responsible for ejecting the tape has stuck, and the TV's firmware won't do anything until it's out. Follow the instructions above to manually loosen that cam.
