How do you fixan 42" ILO EDTV Televion model # P42BSKH-US2?

I have a 42" ilo television. The television is only a 1 1/2 old, it no longer works. The machine powers up but I don't get in videoor sound. Any suggestions on how to fix it

I picked up one of these at a garage sale. It had the same symptoms as davrand had. power on, relays click and green leds light. then relays click off and green lights shut off and red led8004 comes on and set will not power on. I looked everywhere online and found little information on it. Every thing others suggested tested good on my power supply board(which is the problem). The number for for the board is: LJ44-00068A. I finally found a service manual for a different tv with the same board and all it said was replaced the board. At 150 dollars on ebay i would rather tackle it myself. After a week of looking at this board for any signs of suspicious looking components it appeared to me. On the backside of the board was a list of the voltages for the boards various sections. After a quick study i found the test points on the board. I wrote down the voltages and replaced the board back into the tv. I put the black lead of my multimeter in one of the screw slots above the board and and the red one on a test point then powered it on. I wrote down the voltage it reached before the red led came on and moved to the next test point. all the voltages were within specs except the one marked VE. I found the ve section on the board and out of luck tested a diode right next to a small transformer. It was shorted the location was D8044. I replaced the diode and the set came back to life. not bad for a 20 dollar plasma. I have a list of other possibilities if it one of the other parts of the board are not within specs. Hope this is clear enough and helps anyone with this same issue.

Davrand - Can you please tell me what did exactly? I would like to talk with you via email is possible as I have the exact same issue and I'm not sure what a VS Supply is.

Let me know.

Thanks.

I recently pulled the same model from a recycle yard, initial symptoms were Powered up and then went into standby (purple light came on). Opened it up and it was going into "voltage protect", little red LED on the bottom left of the power supply board. Found the trouble shooting manual online which listed the voltage specs and from there was pretty easy to find the bad part of the power supply. A few minutes after pulling the board I found the bad diode for the VS supply and replaced it with one that had a slightly higher current rating. Has been working fine for (cross my fingers) two days now. Have you by chance taken the cover off the back to see if this (Voltage protect LED) is occurring also?
