My cordless mouse dosn't seem to work properly?

I have just bought a packhard bell keyboard and cordless mouse but it dosn't seem to be holding a charge. I am not sure though if I have got nit connected correctly as I am sorry to nsay but I don't think your installation booklet is as clear as it could be. At the moment I have charged the batteries for 8 hours I have the receiver plugged in to the front of my processor. The mouse worked for a little while but now has stopped. I seem to have two lost of cords spare or which need connecting but I don't understand to where?

Here are more solutions:
1. Check if the charger is plugged in, that the batteries are fully charged and that you installed them correctly. Sometimes they can shift inside the mouse due to improper positioning. An easy way to check this is by turning it over and making sure the red light in the middle is on and blinking. The contacts might also need cleaning or realignment.
2. Make sure there's no obstruction between the mouse and sensor. The mouse transmits an infrared beam that the sensor has to "read."
3. Make sure you've loaded the proper drivers & software. You'll get the basic mouse functions without it, but not all the wireless options. They should be on a CD-ROM that came with the mouse or you can download them off the Internet.

Normally the colours of the plugs on the wires of keyboards and mice match the sockets on the back of PCs.

Keyboard normally coloured - purple
Mouse normally coloured - green

Might it be that you are loosing connection, rather than power?
These wireless systems normally have Connect Buttons on both the transmitter/receiver unit and the keyboard and mouse units. Press these buttons and connection should be re-established.
