My Indesit Wil133 stops half way though a cycle still full of water ,the Extra rinse and stain removal buttons are both flashing .I am sure this means something but i have lost my manual anyone else have a clue ? thanks

The function buttons flash if the function is incompatible with the programme. Extra rinse is compatible with 1,2,3,4,5,8,9,10,12,13,rinse cycle and stain removal with 2,3,4,5,rinse cycle.

If you use the Easy Iron function then programmes 4,5,6,7 will leave the landry to soak ( with the rinse cycle LED flashing ) and you need to press START/RESET to finish off. Perhaps this is what happened?
