i didnt have a manual with the computer, there is a hidden partition on my hard drive which i think is the recoverut dont know hy bit bow to use it. thanks for the reply

Are you sure your computer comes with a built-in recovery option? If so the instructions should be located in the User Manual/Online Manual. Else reinstall Windows Vista, that'll wipe the hard drive.
