Which sound card should I buy?

I have an integrated sound system on my computer which has stopped issuing sound. My knowledge of the workings of PCs is not too good but I think I can fit a sound card with no problems, the only problem I have is which one should I buy? I only play CDs or play the odd round of golf with Tiger Woods now and again so I don't want a super duper sound card I would think a bog standard one would do. Please let me know what I should ask for in the shop. I should note I had this computer made for me some time ago so it is not one bought from a shop. Thanking you in anticipation

Fitting an additional sound card is easy. It will slot into a PCI slot on your motherboard - you can buy the cheapest one you can find. PC World do one for £17.99 - PC Line SC5100. It has 5.1 sound and all the connectors you need. Just remember to touch the case of your PC before you unpack it and slot it in (to get rid of the static in your hands).....and you'll find the PCI slots towards the bottom of the motherboard and they'll be white. If installation of a driver is required then it'll be on a CD incuded with the card. Fit the card into your computer first and then use the hardware wizard in the control panel to install the driver. It;s as easy as that.
