My 360 is broken due to the red ring of death, i tried the 'Rapping a towel around it' method but i still does not work.
What can i do?

another way you can fix this is to unplug every cord except the power cord. disconect the hard drive completely make sure the console is turned off. stick tooth picks through the holes in the back of the console where the fans are (do not let them fall in!) hold them so the fans will not work. turn the console on, hold the tooth picks there (or find a way to keep them in place so they fall inside the xbox) for about thirty minutes. then go and buy and inter cooler. works just fine.

go to you tube and type in "xbox ring of death "
there are many videos showing step by step how to dismantle and repair your xbox.
Goto to cnet.com and download a free youtube down loader. this will save and let you convert any instruction videos you may need. ebay sell a fixing kit but you will still have to watch a video to show you how.
This will work. The xbox is so simple to take to pieces if you have the correct tools and instruction video from you tube.
You get all the tools required in the repair kit from ebay. Many sellers have them.
It should take you about an hour to fix.
