ferroli domina 80E boiler shutting down?

We have an intermittent problem with our ferroli shutting down - no pattern, pleases itself, can behave itself for days then 2/3 times daily. Mainly occurs during switch from domestic back to c/h, but also happens when c/h tries to fire up from standby, at times you can hear a clicking noise. Our gas guy has changed sensors and has suggested a new mother board >> expensive!!! NB, we also have problems with water pressure as noted in other forum issues

i have the same problem with my boiler did you find out what the solution was? I have been told it was the thermostat within the boiler that was locking due to the difference of temperature between outdoors in indoord whihc made the theromostat "think" the boiler was overheating and therefore goes into lock down!

Thanks for that Stevie - my gas guy suggested the pcb, but the main one i.e. some £200+ - a fair sum towards a new boiler - £70.00 sounds more sensible.

Mine is the same i had a problem a couple of years ago when it was the same then it shut down completely,i had a look at it and changed the P.C.B on the right hand side (i think it was a faulty relay or contactor type thing) and it worked fine for a couple of year but now its started again
