pull cord light?

how do u fix a pull cord light as the wire has un-attached from the socket

Take complete unit off of ceiling. base that fixes to the ceiling, switch part that screws to this and has a cord from it. You will probably have only one twin cable at the pull cord (red and black or brown and blue)

What do you mean exactly? Has the string cord broken off the part which is fixed to the ceiling? If so easiest way is to replace the complete unit. Not as difficult as it sounds. Pull cord should be about £2.50 from local wholesaler or £4 - £5 from big orange DIY shop if you know what I mean.

re-attach the wire to the socket, or try being more specific.
