tv airial?

the airial cable is ok but havent got a connector for the end of it to put in to the tv. is there any way to do it without one?

I expect you could hardwire the aerial cable to the TV by taking the TV apart and soldering the cable to the circuit board in place of the aerial socket, but why would you go to so much effort to bodge it when you can just buy a plug for a few pence?
