have you got a filter on every phone line etc? - this is not normal, except it is normal for wireless routers to get hot where the psu (power-supply-unit) is (it would not be right for it to get hot if the psu is not in the box) as do freeview boxes, speakers etc. when left on for large amounts of time. of course, the very hot weather we have had this summer WILL cause some of them to overheat. this is not right. but they most probably have not been tested for extreme heat conditions (i think that belkin for one only sell certain products in the UK)
