Ceilings?

we have just painted our tolilet and bathroom ceilings as soon as the paint dryed it peeled and fell of, the ceilings are plastered and emulsioned over , we started again first painted it with glue but even that came off we scrapped all except the plaster off and painted again with a silk paint, parts blistered , please can you tell us what is wrong and what we have to do , we have done the ceilings in the hall and lounge which is the same but that never came off.

when the paint came off did it leave a white powder if so this is distemper/ limewash you have to clean it off with soap and water messy job/ then give mist coat / then top coats

Hi, my sister had the same problem. its more than likely because of the steam from showering.she had to scrape off the paint and sealed it with stuff she got from B&Q and used bathroom paint, but once you take the present paint off allow the bathroom to dry out as best you can, and open window while using the bathroom, keep shower curtain (if you have one) open until steam has cleared then close curtain to allow that to dry.
