Is it OK to leave my MIRA shower switched on at the pull cord?

Is it OK to leave my MIRS shower switched on at the pull cord. I have just had to replace the swith as the cord snapped inside the fitting.

John is right, the switch is there for a reason, it's a functional isolator. It can be left in the on position but if a problem arises with your shower you should be able to isolate it locally. I would replace.

The switch is there for a reason, the shower is in a wet area and should be isolated when not in use,it probable has the biggest fuse supplying it in your home.
However all is not lost kill the power at the fusebox and drop the switch from the ceiling.
The fiberglass string inside can be replaced with care.
If you feel unsure doing this leave it to an electrician!
