I have a VHS cassette runs too fast with sound & no picture?

I just received this tape from eBay. The seller has several thousand sales with 100% feeback, so I don't suspect foul play. The tape plays with static or no reception on the screen. You can here voices speaking, not clearly though, but they are speaking too fast. I put in other cassettes and they do just fine. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

VCR Player- Optimus, model 104, an older VCR player that works just fine.

Thank you for that. I did check and the VCR shows an "SP" abbreviation in the play screen. I'll check it with a neighbors VCR and let y'all know the outcome.
Kind Regards,
Chris

My guess is that the recording on the tape was made in LP mode which your machine does not have.
Try it on a newer machine with this feature.
